Lockdown has transformed the way so many of us work.
The convenience factor is huge and I have found word of mouth referrals covering more ground geographically than ever before, so options have opened up in terms of access – who wishes to consult with me and who I am able to reach.
The downsides are not being able to routinely check blood pressure and pulses, but so many folk have monitors and / or fitness trackers that do these things, this is less of a hindrance than it would have been before. Tongue diagnosis is tricker too, and little clues like being able to see hands and clearly assess skin palor, posture etc but we muddle through…
Occasionally I do need to see someone in person to do an examination. Assess, review, reassess. Patient safety, patient first
