Bee runs walks and workshops throughout the year and loves sharing her knowledge of plants and natural healthcare in a relaxed, fun environment.

Bee is delighted to lead foraging walks, give talks on herbal medicine or any aspect of natural healthcare. Please contact her to talk through your idea. Experience includes talks about seasonal ailments, coughs and colds, sustainability, kitchen cupboard medicine to name but a few!
Workshops can also be arranged on ointment making, medicine making, cordials and syrups, tea blend – from fresh and dried as well as on kitchen cupboard medicine. Bee has also run workshops in the past specifically for children.

10 May, Thursday: Foragings at your Feet – Hatton’s Way to Queensway Playing Fields in Whitchurch – how many plant allies will you meet?
Our everyday walkways can be full of surprises…. These pedestrian paths are bursting with edible and medicinal plants – come along and learn about the amazing uses of your everyday plant allies. Our meander will finish off with foraged tea tastings and a sweet and savoury foraged treat!

19 June, Tuesday: Herbalist @ Home – Guided tour of Bee’s working garden and medicine making demonstration – explore and learn about Bee’s beautiful working garden in Whitchurch. As part of Herbal Medicine Awareness Week I will be opening up my Shropshire garden for the very first time…. With over 70 medicinal plants onsite and lots of edibles its a great opportunity to explore, get inspired and learn!
11am – Medicine making demonstration and garden tour. Tickets are only £10 and include a small herbal gift, fresh herbal tea and something tasty!
4pm – Plant hunt for adults and kids! Enjoy a delicious light refreshment and then head out armed with your treasure trail pack and see what you can find and learn along the way…. Tickets are only £5 each for one adult and one child, tickets for additional children are £2 each. Children remain the responsibility of their guardian throughout.

22 September, Saturday: Autumn Abundance – meander and luxurious high tea at Fordhall Organic Farm.
Take an autumnal stroll around the farm and learn all about the abundance of autumn – including wild fruits, nuts and roots. What’s edible and what’s best out of Mother Nature’s seasonal pharmacy. Enjoy feasting feasting on the delights of the autumn hedgerow with a particular focus on berries and ‘nuts’ as the Head Chef presents an afternoon tea to remember! The walk will start at 1pm with high tea following on at approximately 3pm.

29 Sept: Wild Foraging Walk @ Ginger and Spice Festival, Market Drayton, Shropshire.
Join local Shropshire Chef, James Sherwin, and Bee on an educational and guided wild foraging walk in and around Market Drayton as part of the Ginger and Spice Festival 2018.
James and Bee will teach you how to find and identify seasonal and edible plants. James will be offering expert culinary tips whilst Bergitte will be offering advice on botany and health and wellbeing. The group will be split into two and will then meet half way when leaders will switch groups.

2 October, Tuesday: Herbalist @ Home – Winter lurgies & your home pharmacy, Whitchurch. A great opportunity to do some hands on medicine making using seasonal ingredients and kitchen cupboard heroes. You will head home with medicines you have helped make, including some Elderberry Rob, Cough Balm, Cough Syrup and Head-cold Brew, plus recipes for future use and lots of new knowledge.
Workshop starts at 9.45am for 10am and runs until 3.30pm. Spaces are limited and booking essential. All materials included, along with a light lunch.
7 April, Saturday: Spring Foragings – meander and 3 course meal at Fordhall Organic Farm (nr Market Drayton).
Booking essential via Fordhall Farm (01630 638 696). The walk starts at 10am and will last approximately 2 hours. It is followed by a fabulous hearty foraged feast, put together by the Head Chef.
Feedback has always been overwhelmingly good and this is the 4th Spring Foraging Walk!
7 October 2017: Blackberry Fair (Whitchurch) – ‘Through the cracks’ – mini foraging walk. Time TBC.

21 October 2017: Merry Berry Mosey and Meal, at Fordhall Organic Farm Two hour walk taking a closer look at edible and medicinal plants on your doorstep. This is followed by a very decadent afternoon tea celebrating wild and seasonal ingredients. Booking essential – via Fordhall Farm.
16 September 2017: Merefest (Ellesmere) – Speaking of Nature: ‘Not just weeds’ Commences at midday, 45 minutes. Be inspired by the everyday weeds growing in your garden! Learn how they can help your ecology and contribute towards a healthier ecology around you…. Some recipes were will shared too. There is an opportunity to meet the various speakers at 3pm and Bee’s Teas will be available to purchase on the day.

30 April 2017: Green Foragings Mosey and Meal, at Fordhall Organic Farm. Two hour walk taking a closer look at edible and medicinal plants on your doorstep. This is followed by a delicious 3 course part foraged lunch (see menu below) celebrating wild and seasonal ingredients. Booking essential – via Fordhall Farm.
Walk: Hedgerow Herbs (Spring 2015 and 2016) Location: Fordhall Organic Farm, Market Drayton, Shropshire Time: 10am – 12.30pm, meet outside Arthur’s Farm Kitchen Due to popular demand an additional walk has been scheduled and so far 21 participants have signed up – this is the maximum recommended number! Can’t wait to see what Chef Nicola rustles up at the end of the walk and look forward to finalising details regarding who is foraging for what!

The hedgerows and fields are bursting with bounty! Join Medical Herbalist Bee McGovern for a medicinal and foraging walk around the farm, followed by a superb Seasonal part foraged two course lunch created and cooked by Arthur’s Farm Kitchen Chef! If you have a particular interest in Fungi, than the Mushroom Mosey at Fordhall will be better suited to you. This walk was well attended and included a couple of folk who came to the walk in Spring and were keen to learn more and be treated to a delicious meal and tasting session after the walk.
